Ribbon Pakoda is the snack that doesn’t announce itself. It sits quietly on the tray, thinner and flatter than the murukku beside it, and gets finished first.

Made from a combination of rice flour and besan (chickpea flour), Ribbon Pakoda gets its name from its flat, ribbon-like shape — pressed through a wide, slotted die and fried until it achieves a clean, sustained crunch. The spice is mild and savoury rather than sharp — red chilli, cumin and a touch of hing — which makes it the most universally liked snack in our range. Children eat it. Elders eat it. Everyone does.

Ours is made fresh in small batches, fried in clean oil, and packed while still crisp. No MSG. No artificial flavouring. Just the honest taste of properly made besan and rice flour, fried well.
